Crafting solutions, one piece at a time.

With expertise in facilitation, mediation, and process design, Mosaic helps people collaborate to resolve complex challenges and forge a shared path forward.

About Us

Mosaic guides people through collaborative dialogue using facilitation and mediation techniques. We use a tailored approach – We ask questions, seek to understand the political, legal and cultural landscape, and assess a client’s needs and resources to design a unique process for any given project or challenge.

Our approach helps people piece together a common vision by guiding disparate parties to collectively explore and co-create viable solutions.

By weaving together diverse perspectives, Mosaic transforms adversarial dynamics into collaborative partnerships, ultimately crafting comprehensive and sustainable resolutions. Our commitment to collective understanding and cooperative problem-solving paves the way for positive change.

Facilitation

We facilitate all kinds of meetings to get you to your goals, including:

  • Ongoing committee meetings
  • Workgroups, large and small
  • Public meetings

  • Strategic planning sessions
  • Workshops

Mediation

Sometimes two or more parties need a deep-listening mediator to delve into an embroiled conflict and seek resolution and agreement. Sylvia is a certified mediator and can help you through your most critical conversations. We conduct informal mediations as part of larger public processes, as well as formal mediation in a confidential setting.

Situation assessment and process design

Need a collaborative process, but not sure what it looks like? We can help. We advise on who should be part of the process, what kinds of meetings or forums are most effective to achieve desired outcomes, how to align meetings and stakeholder conversations with technical timelines, and how to keep your process flexible and nimble if unexpected issues arise.

We often conduct a stakeholder, situation, or conflict assessment early on to help with this process design. Through informal interviews or small group discussions with parties, we learn about the people and issues involved, the willingness to find a joint solution, and what outcomes are desired. This assessment reveals key information that is helpful to designing a process that includes the right people, the right topics, and the right discussion forums.
